Alain Perron
Alain H. Perron was born in Sudbury, Ontario. His family moved to North Bay before his first birthday. After completing his high school education at Ecole Secondaire Algonquin, he attended the University of Ottawa where he obtained his Baccalaureate in Administration in 1989 and his Baccalaureate in Law (LL.B.) Cum Laude in 1992. After articling with the firm of Miller Maki in Sudbury, he was admitted to the Bar of Ontario in January 1994. He joined our firm as an associate and became a partner in January 1995. Since January 1996 he has been the managing partner in our firm.
He maintains a general practice which includes Real Estate, Wills and Estates, Criminal Litigation, Corporate Commercial and Family Law. As an agent for the Attorney General of Canada, he is in charge of all prosecutions under the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act for the District of Nipissing. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and L'Association des jurists francaise de L'Ontario. He is a past vice-president of the Nipissing Law Association and a past delegate to the County and District Law President's Association. His community involvement includes being a former director of the North Bay Crisis Centre and he also played a very active role in North Bay's "Le Carnival" as Past Honorary President, President of the Organizing Committee and Bonhomme Carnaval. He is presently the Chair of the Board of Directors of the North Bay General Hospital (NBGH) and either Chair or member of a variety NBGH committees.
In his free time he plays hockey with the North Bay Ill Eagles and enjoys all outdoor activities. He is happily married to Carmen and has three young children.
